Collaboration with Natalie Raney for multiple concerts in spring 2020*

Picture
*Due to ongoing COVID-19 crisis, our original spring dates have been rescheduled as live-streams to the late summer/fall. See our events page for new dates.

Helia will team up with cellist, Natalie Raney, for a collaboration in spring 2020. Recognized for her bold and adventurous playing, Natalie Raney has established herself as an immensely versatile performer throughout the Bay Area. For this project, Natalie will prepare an expansive repertoire of solo cello works written by women composers, including several new commissions to be performed alongside established works. Helia and Natalie will present multiple performances in completely different spaces throughout the Bay Area. No two concerts will have the exact same program or order, making each performance a unique and special experience.

Emma Logan is selected as a 2016-2018 Center for New Music curator!

Emma Logan writes:
Concert programming across the United States fails to represent a large and powerful creative demographic: women. As a curator for the Center of New Music, I plan to present programs featuring women as the primary creators. I hope to bring my dedication and love for new music to help promote women (and forward thinking men!) by creating a new platform for creative endeavors in the Bay Area.
Congratulations, Emma!

Helia Music Collective is excited to announce their first concert, featuring Siroko Duo!
